You can read PressTemps without giving us your name, and we do not ask you to create an account.
What the site records
Like any website, ours sits behind a web server and a content delivery network, and both keep ordinary technical logs of requests: the page requested, the time, your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string and the page that referred you. These logs exist so the site can be operated, secured and debugged. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not sold.
Cookies and measurement
The site may set cookies or use similar storage for two purposes: keeping the site working (for example remembering a preference) and measuring aggregate traffic so we know which stories people read. Measurement is about totals, not individuals. Your browser can block or delete cookies at any time; the site will still work.
Advertising
Where advertising appears, it is served by third parties who may set their own cookies and receive the technical details listed above in the ordinary course of serving an ad. Those companies act under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. If you want to limit ad personalisation, your browser and operating system both offer controls, and industry opt-out pages exist for most major ad networks.
Links to other sites
Our articles link out heavily — to government documents, filings, research papers and other publications. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site, under someone else’s privacy policy.
Email you send us
If you write to the addresses on our contact page, we keep your message so we can act on it and refer back to it. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Write to [email protected] and we will deal with it. Bear in mind that for most readers the honest answer is that we hold nothing beyond ordinary server logs.

If this policy changes materially we will update this page. It was last reviewed in August 2026.
